The all on 4 consist In using a dental prosthesis that replaces an entire arch of teeth, that dental prosthesis Is connected to 4 dental Implants that go surgically placed In to your jawbone.

Not all patients qualify at the exact moment, however there are treatments that can be done to make you qualify or Improve candidacy. At smile center we have free evaluations where first we check and make sure patients are In fact candidates for Implants, if you are not , we will be sure to let you know, and let you know what we can do.

Here are treatments that you can get done before at smile center:

Extractions

This procedure Is done to Increase the amount of bone In a specific part of your jaw. It consists In our surgeon making a small incision in your jaw and attaches bone material to the rest of your bone. This will then fuse to your bone and Improve your candidacy for Implants. This Is considered a Minor procedure, and afterwards the pain Is none to mild and can be treated with over the counter pain meds.

This has a similar purpose as a bone graft, however it is located In the upper jawbone beneath the sinus cavity. Our surgeon will lift the sinus membrane and pack In bone material, this will then heal and your upper jawbone will then have a greater amount of bone to get Implants. After this surgery, you will leave with be provided with a prescription to help you during your recovery.

Not all patients come Into our office with dentures. Here at Smile Center we have our oral surgeon that can do multiple extractions to help you begin your process for the ALL on 4. The same day we extract the teeth, we can also place In the dental Implants. Before that we would take a 3D CT scan to properly plan the surgery and make your experience easier.

Surgical Phase

At smile center, our exams are completley free and include basic x-rays. Here we will point out exactly what you need, why, and how much and how many visits It would take.

Its paramount for us to take a 3D CT scan to plan the positioning of the Implants, verify bone density, and It helps us choose the correct size/diameter of your Implants that best fits your specific case.

We do suggest using a temporary removable denture during a 4-6 month period where your Implants will finish fusing to the rest of your bone (osseointegration)

Once your temporary denture Is ready, we will then do extractions, bonegrafts and Implants. You would have local anesthesia to make your experience better, If you request It we also have IV Sedation.

Please keep In mind this can be completed In 1 vist, however we recommend staying at least one night (In our own condos) this way we can check you the next day before you head back home. You will be required to come back In 4-6 months to get your final teeth.

Alternatives to the ALL on 4

There are times where dentist In the US will recommend the ALL on 4, but once here we detect different approaches to your situation.

All on 6

Similar to the ALL on 4, the ALL on 6 Is an Implant supported arch but instead of using 4 Implants, we would use 6 dental Implants per arch. This does provide much more stability to the arch, however It Is only available to patients that have a certain bone density and size of mouth.

Full Crown restoration

It has happened before that patients have been told by US dentist that Its better to just extract all of the teeth, but once here we detect the teeth although they may be worn, damaged, they still have good roots and can be saved by crowing them. Of course this Is If youd choose that.
